Keep your YouTube ads
where your brand belongs.

Do you know which YouTube channels your ads are actually running on?

  • Built on your actual placement data
  • Works with Performance Max & Demand Gen
  • One toggle. Fully automatic.

Are your ads showing up on
YouTube channels you'd never choose?

AI-driven campaigns like Performance Max and Demand Gen automatically push your ads across YouTube.
Tracking which channels they land on by hand gets harder every year.

"We didn't find out our ads were on inappropriate channels until it was too late."

Brand damage from channels you never chose

With AI-driven delivery, you can't pick the YouTube channels your ads appear on ahead of time. When your ad plays during or next to a video that clashes with your brand, it can hurt your brand image. And manually reviewing every placement just isn't realistic for a marketing team.

"We can't keep track of every channel our ads end up on."

Too many placements to track and manage by hand

With AI-driven delivery, placements change daily and spread across thousands of channels. Combing through reports for inappropriate placements and updating exclusion lists by hand is a heavy, never-ending burden for your team.

With AI-driven delivery on the rise,
automatic channel-level exclusion is no longer optional

A fast-growing video ad market, and Spider Labs research showing how little control advertisers have over where AI-driven campaigns deliver.

The video ad market is set to pass $6.6 billion (¥1 trillion) in 2026, and automatic delivery to YouTube through Performance Max and Demand Gen will only keep growing. At the same time, the more AI takes over delivery, the less visibility marketers have into where their ads actually run, and the less control. The YouTube placements that Performance Max and Demand Gen select automatically are no exception: inappropriate, off-brand channels slip through unnoticed. That's why automatic detection and exclusion at the channel level, based on where your ads actually ran, matters now.

What you get

AUTOMATION

See exactly which placements put your brand at risk, based on your real delivery data

Do you know which YouTube channels
your ads are running on?

Setup and availability questions welcome. No cost, no commitment.

We classify the channels your ads actually ran on and exclude the risky ones automatically.
Setup is a single toggle.

This isn't a generic blocklist applied to every account. Exclusions are based on your own delivery data, so they reflect where your ads actually ran. They're then synced through the Google Ads API to the account-level exclusion settings in your Google Ads account.

How it's applied
Synced to account-level exclusions through the Google Ads APIEnabled by Spider AF after you sign up

* Because of how Google Ads works, web domains and YouTube channels go into a single placement exclusion list. Accounts that don't serve on YouTube don't need any YouTube channels registered.

How it differs from the existing placement exclusion

* The existing placement exclusion is available on the Elite plan and above.

The existing exclusion feature mainly covers Display Network placements and excludes them at the domain level. The new feature covers YouTube placements: it classifies the channels your ads actually ran on and excludes them at the channel level.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is this just a pre-built blocklist applied to every account?

No. Exclusions are based on measurement: we classify the YouTube channels where your ads were actually delivered and decide what to exclude from that data. Unlike a one-size-fits-all list, the results reflect your real delivery footprint.

Q. Which campaign types and placements does it cover?

Performance Max, Demand Gen and Video campaigns, including most static-image feed placements. Exclusions apply at the YouTube channel level and the web domain level. Individual YouTube videos and app placements aren't covered.

Q. What do I need to set up?

Nothing complicated. On your side, all you need to do is connect your Google Ads account. Spider AF enables the YouTube Placement Exclusion toggle for you after you sign up, and exclusions then sync automatically to your account-level exclusions through the Google Ads API.

Q. Can I switch the YouTube Placement Exclusion toggle on myself?

No. The YouTube Placement Exclusion toggle can't be switched on from your side. Spider AF enables it for you after you sign up. As long as your Google Ads account is connected, there is no additional setup for you to do.

Q. I work with Spider AF through an agency. Who do I contact?
